Hazel Brow Farm Educational Visits

One of the key features of our visitor centre is to be able to offer schools, colleges and community groups the opportunity of booking to come and take an educational tour

Farm Education visits, community group visits, school trips, family groups, foreign group guided tours of an organic working farm in Swaledale, North Yorkshire

Hazel Brow is a traditional farm in the heart of Swaledale and within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We farm approximately 100 acres of species rich grassland plus extensive grazing on the moor and common. We have 5 miles of dry stonewalls and 15 field barns! Our unique pattern of field boundaries and barns reflects the industry of past generations who migrated to the coalfields of Durham and mill towns of Lancashire and Yorkshire in the 19th Century. The main farm enterprise today ceased commercial dairy production in 2009 and is now mostly sheep.
